Gabbeh
rugs are made by Nomad tribes and dwellers in the south of Iran.
The Khasqai and Lori tribes are the best known producers, and
as far as patterns and colour combinations are concerned, Gabbeh
rugs are undoubtedlythe most unpredictable of Persian rugs. The
Nomad style is simple and spartan - qualities which make these
rugs so varied and exiting. The attractive, pure colours and simple
figures of the Gabbeh rug match the style of the modern home -
creating a healthy and exiting atmosphere.
