Lori
is a nomad tribe in the south west and west Iran. The history
goes a long way back, but today most of the tribe has settled
in villages. The rug production follows ancient methods. Wool
yarn are still spun by hand and dyed with natural colours.
Designs
and colours:
The Loris has great variations of designs, from geometric symbols
to stylized flowers. Dark colours (red, blue, green, violet, brown
and black) are dominating.
