Meimeh rugs are counted among the best looking and finest quality carpets. They are therefore in high demand and are more costly than carpets from neighboring areas.. The motifs of Meimeh rugs are geometric patterns with a single diamond-shaped medallion that contains many other smaller diamond medallions inside. The colours are dominated by dark red and powerful blue with ivory, forming a beautiful contrast.
The texture is soft wool with a thin, tight pile.
Warps is mostly of cotton; wefts is wool.
