South of Teheran, the capital of Iran, the city Qum or Ghom is located. Ghom has a townhistory that belongs to one of the oldest in the country. The rugs are made of pure silk, given an elegant and firm rug, with a very fine short pile. The knot is Seneh and colours usually red, golden or creme in the ground with patterns of dark and light blue. These rugs are handknotted in almost every size.
